Police were called to the home on Pantanella Court N.W. at about 10:45 a.m. after it was reported a man had been stabbed. EMS was also called and found the man dead at the scene.

An autopsy performed on Thursday identified the victim as 20-year-old Kyreese George Wright.

He is described as being six feet three inches tall with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair.

“At this time, it is believed the offender was known to the victim and the stabbing was not random,” police said Thursday. “Detectives continue to speak with witnesses and are investigating this incident as a homicide.”

Anyone with information that could help the investigation, including the whereabouts of Elendu, is asked to call police at 403-428-8811 or 403-2661-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
