Weapons, cash and suspected drugs were seized during a search warrant in Kelowna on Wednesday.
Kelowna RCMP say the search warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking.
The bust happened along the 300 block of Mallach Road in Rutland, with members of the RCMP’s Community Safety Unit executing the search warrant.
“During their search of the home, police seized quantities of suspected illicit drugs, including suspected marijuana, ketamine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, from inside the residence and the property,” Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said on Thursday.
“Our officers also seized weapons and numerous items used for the production of illicit drugs.”
A neighbour told Global News on Wednesday that “there were a bunch of cops around,” but didn’t know who occupied the home.
Police could be seen inside the home, which featured several vehicles in the driveway.
RCMP say seven people were arrested during the search warrant, including one for an outstanding warrant. The other six were later released without charges.
Police say the matter has been sent to prosecutors for consideration of charges.
