Houston’s grave is located next to her father John Houston’s resting place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey — less than 30 minutes from her birthplace, Newark.

The singer died Feb. 11, 2012 in a Beverly Hills hotel room. She was 48. A coroner ruled she drowned accidentally and that cocaine use and heart disease contributed to her death.
