Last year, 18 pedestrians were killed while improper or non-seatbelt use contributed to 47 deaths in the province.

Along with the blitz, a selective traffic enforcement program will be taking place in La Ronge.

Last month’s blitz focused on seatbelts and cell phone use and resulted in 95 seatbelt and 30 cellphone tickets being handed out.
