CALGARY – An investigation is underway after the Calgary Police bomb squad detonated a suspicious device found in Glenmore Park on Monday night.
A man walking through the Weaselhead area of the southwest park called police after finding an unknown item.

The Calgary Police Tactical Unit rushed to the park, blocking off the surrounding area.
The suspicious device was detonated just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
An investigation is now underway to determine what exactly the item was.
