WOOLWICH TOWNSHIP, Ont. – Waterloo Regional Police say a two-year-old boy is missing after a dairy barn fire Friday night in Woolwich Township, northwest of Kitchener-Waterloo.
Investigators say firefighters from Elmira, Floradale, Conestoga and St. Jacobs responded to the blaze Friday night, along with police.
Police say a two-year-old boy who lived at the farm was discovered to be missing and, despite a search by family, neighbours and police, has not been located.
A search of the barn will start once the site is deemed safe.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is also part of the investigation.
Damage from the fire is estimated at $400,000.
