Security footage has now been released of a bank robbery suspect accused of robbing a CIBC branch in Revelstoke.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, a lone male walked into the bank and approached the teller with a note demanding money.

While no weapon was seen, the man implied that he did have a firearm. No one was hurt during the incident, but the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

This was the second robbery at the bank this year.

The male suspect is described as being Caucasian, in his 40’s and with a brush cut. He appeared to be wearing glasses, a blue ball cap and pyjama type pants.

The security footage also shows the suspect in the bank’s ATM lobby before the robbery without his hat and glasses disguise.

The Revelstoke Forensic Identification Section were at the scene and are continuing their investigation.

RCMP are hoping the release of the security footage will help identify the suspect.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Revelstoke RCMP Detachment at (250) 837-5255 or your local police department. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or anonymously online at http://www.bccrimestoppers.com.
