Airplane parts land on golf course

Nobody yelled "fore", so three Kelowna golfers were taken by surprise when a white object bounced off a tree and landed near them.

The men were playing 18 holes at Kelowna Springs Golf Course Monday this afternoon when a piece of airplane fuselage fell from the sky.

The lightweight object is about half a square meter in size and has dozens of rivet holes.

It is white on one side and has a snake logo painted on the other.

The golf course is very close to the runway for Kelowna airport and low flying planes are constantly going overhead.

Golfer Bob Bigelow told CHBC News he was going to bring his piece of fuselage to Kelowna Airport in hopes of returning it to its rightful owner.

An airport spokesperson said the incident is under investigation
