A man is now in custody after residents in Great Village, N.S., were asked to stay inside on Tuesday evening as Nova Scotia RCMP responded to a call about a barricaded man.
Few details were released, but police said officers were at the scene near 8598 Hwy. 2 in Great Village.
Nova Scotia RCMP did not believe anyone else was in the home, and it’s still unknown whether the man was armed.
At 8:50 p.m., RCMP tweeted that police had the person in custody.

“He is being checked by medics. Everyone is OK,” police said.
Great Village is located about 30 kilometres west of Truro.
