A family is mourning the loss of a 2 ½ year old boy. Around 4 p.m., on Saturday RCMP Swift Current responded to a report of a sudden death at a rural residence near Webb, Saskatchewan. The child was put down for a nap in the late morning and was discovered un-responsive later that afternoon in his bed. The child lives with his biological father and step-mother. EMS from Swift Current arrived on scene to find the 2 1/2 year old male was deceased.
The cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy is being conducted today in Saskatoon. Assisting in this investigation is the RCMP Swift Current General Investigation Section (GIS), the RCMP Swift Current Forensic Identification section as well as RCMP Major Crimes from Regina. Webb is about 23 Kilometres west of Swift Current.
