KELOWNA, BC — He wanted her car but fled empty handed.
Kelowna RCMP are investigating an attempted home invasion.
The incident happened shortly before 6 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Nelson Road off Guisachan Place where a man armed with a handgun knocked on a residence’s door.

A woman answered and the man ordered her to give him the keys to her car.
The woman slammed the door and ran out the back of the residence.

The suspect kicked-in the door before fleeing on a bicycle.
Police surrounded the area where the crime occurred but couldn’t track down the suspect who is described as having a slim build, 5’,5” tall, wearing a T-shirt and ball cap.
The resident was not harmed.
