SASKATOON – A stretch of a major Saskatchewan highway is getting a reputation as an impromptu baby delivery room.
Saskatoon’s M-D Ambulance says that since April, three babies have been born on Highway 16 near Clavet with the help of ambulance dispatchers.
The latest arrival – a boy – entered the world shortly after five Saturday morning.
MD Ambulance spokesman Troy Davis says they can go months without getting a call such as this, then suddenly there are three in a two-week period.
