An 18-year-old man is facing murder charges after a body was discovered on the Blood Tribe First Nation in southern Alberta.
On June 21, Blood Tribe Police began investigating a report of a person missing since June 14.
Police say the investigation resulted in discovery of human remains, now identified as Jaimie Black Rabbit, 25, of Blood Tribe First Nation.

Along with the RCMP, Blood Tribe Police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
Cause of death is expected to be determined following an autopsy early next week.
Investigators say an 18-year-old man from the Blood Tribe First Nation is in custody, charged with 2nd degree murder as well as offering an indignity to human remains.
It’s believed the accused was under the age of 18 at the time of the offence, so a name is not being released.
The accused will make his first court appearance in Cardston Youth Court on July 4.
