TORONTO – Environment Canada says sweltering weather gripping much of southern Ontario is forecast to stick around for a few more days.
The weather service says hot and humid conditions that have sent temperatures into the low 30s are moving into south central Ontario after cooking the province’s southwest.

Niagara, Toronto and London were all under heat alerts Sunday, with residents advised to drink lots of fluids and those vulnerable to heat told to seek shelter in air conditioned buildings.
Environment Canada says there’s little relief from the heat forecast for the coming days, while the humidex warning may also be expanded to more parts of the province.
It says a weak cold front forecast to arrive in the middle of the week may break the heat.
