TORONTO — Reality show star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have taken celebrity baby-naming in a whole new direction — and it’s North.
According to TMZ.com, the couple named their newborn North West. No middle name appears on the birth certificate, which is signed only by Kardashian.
The baby girl was born June 15 at 5:34 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Kardashian and West have already nicknamed the baby Nori, according to US Weekly.
People reports Kardashian was rushed to hospital about a month before her due date because of complications. The magazine quotes sources as saying the newborn is gaining weight and suffered no serious medical problems.
The Kardashians have traditionally preferred first names that begin with “K” — the baby’s aunts include Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie and grandma’s name is Kris — and there were reports the couple would name their offspring Kaidence.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show earlier this year, Kardashian told Jay Leno she’d like to name the baby Easton West.
On social media, fans are poking fun at the famous newborn’s moniker — expressing concerns the girl will grow up to struggle with GPS instructions and predicting she will have no choice but to move to the Seattle area.
