CALGARY – The City of Calgary and surrounding communities were put under a severe thunderstorm watch on Tuesday.
Environment Canada cautioned there is potential for severe thunderstorms to develop Tuesday afternoon and evening, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy downpours.

The weather agency says there could be a chance of a tornado developing in southern Alberta, and they will issue a tornado watch if it becomes more likely.
