Manitoba RCMP are looking for help solving a rash of thefts of ATVs and other off-road machinery.

In a news release Monday, the Mounties said ATVs have become “the stolen item of choice” in Manitoba’s Interlake area, now that summer weather is here.

“This year to date, 23 ATVs have been stolen in the Interlake area that have yet to be recovered. These thefts represent thousands of dollars in loss. RCMP believe the majority of these thefts are committed by the same group of people,” the RCMP said.
