Banff RCMP have nabbed four people wanted on outstanding theft and fraud warrants.

On Sunday, December 18th RCMP were called to the Best Western Hotel to investigate a theft. They knocked on the doors of two adjoining rooms on the third floor to speak to the occupants of the room who were suspects.

While Police waited for them to answer, hotel staff saw a man fall from the room’s balcony.

Police found the man lying on his back on the ground outside the hotel, having slipped from the balcony while trying to escape the officer at the door. The man landed on a police car before hitting the ground and was not seriously injured.

Kenneth Allan Funk, Steven DeWolfe, Cody BradBurn and Emilie Rea Corbett Funk were arrested at the hotel and are now facing multiple charges including possession of drugs, theft and obstruction of a police officer.

The four are also facing multiple outstanding warrants from Calgary City Police.

A search of the room uncovered a stolen wallet, items purchased in Banff with stolen credit cards, as well as a piece of jewelry tying the suspects to a break and enter out of Calgary.

Banff RCMP and Calgary Police are working together to determine if the suspects are linked to any other crimes.
