The South Perimeter Highway at St. Anne’s Road was temporarily closed after a multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.
RCMP said that semi tractor trailer struck a tow truck while it was towing another vehicle from the ditch. Four other vehicles were reported to be involved in a chain reaction of collisions as a result.

STARS Air Ambulance said a 19-year-old man was taken to the Health Sciences Centre in stable condition.
It’s unclear how many others were taken to hospital by ground and the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Roads were reported to be icy at the time of the crash.
RCMP are reminding motorists to drive to conditions, slow down, wear seat belts and drive sober.
