Peel police are canvassing auto body shops in the search for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 23-year-old woman in Mississauga Thursday night.
Just after 11:00 p.m., a female pedestrian was hit by a dark-coloured sedan on Creditview Road, north of Britannia Road. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling north on Creditview Road.
The woman, identified by police as Lindsay Tamminga of Mississauga, was transported to a Toronto hospital where she remains with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the car could have damage to its right front end and windshield.
