The new, completely redesigned, Globalnews.ca has been live for a little over two months now and while we think it represents a really fresh, mobile friendly approach to reporting the news, we’ve always been committed to continuous improvement.
We received a lot of feedback about the new site — much positive, but some negative. One of the things we heard was that you wanted more video, and you wanted it to be easier to find.
Now we’re rolling out “in-stream” video playback – the first of a number of enhancements that we will make in the coming weeks to improve the video experience.
Where ever you see the “play video” icon on the site’s home pages, just click on it, and the video plays in place without sending you off to another page. Try it out – it’s easy and fun.
Our launch was always planned as a beginning not an end and we’ve got many exciting features and updates in the works. But we’d love to hear from you about what features you’d value in a news site. Please use the form or leave a comment below.
