Ontario Provincial Police say a motorcyclist has died after a collision in the westbound lanes of the QEW in Burlington.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said emergency crews were called to the highway near Appleby Line after 6 p.m. on Thursday with reports of a crash involving a motorcycle, a transport truck and a motor vehicle.
Schmidt said the rider was taken to hospital by paramedics without vital signs. He said the patient was later pronounced dead.

Schmidt said no one else was injured.

He said officers shut down the westbound lanes at Appleby Line and noted the eastbound lanes in the area weren’t affected.
Officers closed the highway for several hours as collision reconstruction investigators gathered evidence.
Witnesses in the area who haven’t spoken with police were encouraged to call the OPP.
