Hair today, gone tomorrow for ‘Glee’ star Samuel Larsen

TORONTO — Here’s a look at Glee star Samuel Larsen as you have never seen him before — without his long dreadlocks.

The 21-year-old actor, who plays Joe Hart on the popular series, revealed his shorter locks last week at a photo shoot in West Hollywood.

“Just for the record my neck feels freakin awesome okay,” Larsen tweeted. “Seriously.”

Chopping off his dreadlocks is evidently something Larsen has wanted to do for awhile. In a 2011 interview with TV Line, he said: “I’m very much over my hair.”

Larsen said he told his agent that his dreadlocks limited him as an actor but she talked him out of cutting them off.

“But I do look at keeping my hair as more of a burden,” he admitted.

The San Francisco-born musician and former model made the first round of American Idol auditions in 2010 and then won a role on Glee after competing on The Glee Project reality series.
