The closure will allow crews to complete work which includes a storm sewer extension, a concrete curb and paving.
Spotters and temporary fencing will be in place to control the flow of pedestrian traffic near two Saskatoon high schools. All trenching and excavation will be filled in and will not remain open overnight.
Access to the 22nd Street West pedestrian overpass will remain open during the closure.
The city of Saskatoon is asking drivers to allow extra time when travelling through the orange zone, watch for pedestrians and work crews and obey all detours, signs and barriers.
