Officers allegedly seized 14 grams of crack cocaine.

Police executed two search warrants in connection to the investigation, including one at Bellamy’s home in the Pape and Danforth area.

“They seized a loaded firearm, a quantity of drugs, a car,” says Constable Tony Vella. “A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged accordingly. He faces a number of firearms and drug-related offences.”

Bellamy was featured in a documentary called Alias that premiered at Toronto’s Hot Docs festival. He appeared on The Morning Show to talk about the lives of Toronto rappers and how rap music has a bad name.

“It gets too much negative attention,” he said.

“It’s too much intertwined with street life. They just focus on the negative because I guess that’s pretty much what sells.”

Bellamy faces 14 charges and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
