Car goes into lake at Ashbridges Bay: Toronto police

Toronto police say a vehicle has gone into the lake and is completely submerged near Ashbridges Bay Park Road and Martin Goodman Trail.

Police said the two known occupants that were inside reportedly got out of the vehicle and that there are no reports of injuries to either of them.

Investigators said they don’t believe anyone else is still inside and that it happened just after 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Police said the Marine Unit will be sending a team of divers at some point Friday, during daylight hours, to pull the car out.
