Calgary police seek woman missing since 2012

CALGARY – Police are looking to the public for help locating a woman missing since last year.

32-year-old Sarah Coates was last seen in the southwest neighbourhood of Stanley Park on August 2nd, 2012.

Coates travelled in and around Calgary before going missing. Police say she was known to camp in her blue Chevrolet Astro minivan in the Foothills Industrial area, and was travelling with three cats and one dog.

Police describe Coates as 5’2” tall, 110 lbs. with long, red hair and blue eyes. She was also known by the nicknames “Meka” or “Meko” and has a small, homemade tattoo of a heart on her left knuckle.

The van has a cream-coloured passenger door and the window is missing from the rear passenger door.
