High-risk sex offender arrested twice in 1 month: Toronto police

Toronto police say they’ve arrested a high-risk sex offender twice in one month.

Police say the 28-year-old Toronto man with an extensive history of break-and-enters and sex-related crimes was released by the Ministry of Correctional Services in March.

Police say they responded to a break and enter in the city’s north end on May 29 where two women allegedly found the man undressed, sitting in their living room.

They say he was arrested, but was later released with conditions.

Police say Joanasie Mingeriak was arrested again on June 28 for failing to comply with probation.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
