Emergency crews responded to a stabbing on the stairs by the pedestrian overpass at the Marlborough train station before 4 p.m., police said.

A man in his 20s with “traumatic injuries” who was in serious, potentially life-threatening condition was taken to Foothills Medical Centre, EMS said.

Four people — a woman, a man, a teen girl and a teen boy — were arrested as of 4:45 p.m., according to police.

Calgary Transit said the station was closed at 4 p.m. “until further notice,” adding that Blue Line shuttles would replace service between Franklin and Rundle stations.

On Sunday night, Calgary Transit tweeted that Blue Line service had resumed.
