TORONTO — Lindsay Lohan says she is not the drug-fueled trouble-maker many people believe.

“I’ve only done [cocaine] maybe four or five times in my life,” she told Piers Morgan. “I took it four times in a period from about the age of 20 to 23, and I got caught twice.”

In a candid interview published in the Daily Mail‘s weekend magazine Event, Lohan insisted cocaine made her feel “uncomfortable” and she has never used heroin or LSD. But she has smoked pot and enjoyed the feeling of being on ecstasy.

“I didn’t drink on it so I was just chilling,” she said. “It’s something that a lot of people experience when they’re in college. I just should have known that being in the public eye, someone was bound to say something or try to make some money off it.”

Lohan, 26, also said she is not a “huge drinker” and doesn’t think she’s an alcoholic.

So why is the actress a regular in rehab?

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people taking time to just be themselves,” she told Morgan. “I think people want to see me do that. They will keep saying the same things about me if I don’t. I don’t think it will be a bad thing for me to be away with myself for three months.”

But Lohan, who is currently in the Betty Ford Clinic, admitted she hasn’t always taken her stints in rehab seriously.

“I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless,” she said. “The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time. They just asked me the same old questions I’d answered before.”

Lohan told Morgan she considers herself straight despite having had a long relationship with Samantha Ronson. “I needed to experience that and I was looking for something different,” she explained. “I like being in a relationship with a guy. I like boys.”

The unhappiest moment in her life? The day, in 2010, she turned herself into jail.

“I had to see my mom’s face,” said Lohan. “I spent 12 days inside and I felt utter shock and cried for four days straight.”
