A man was shot early Thursday morning on the city’s east-end, according to police.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of Harding Street for a disturbance at about 2:35 a.m. after residents reported “loud banging sounds” in the area, Regina police said.
A man was found in a vehicle with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, police said. He was transported to hospital by EMS for treatment of his injuries.
A car’s driver side door was shattered, and there was a bullet hole in the rear driver-side window. A tow-truck arrived to take the car at about 8 a.m.
Blood was also seen on the road.
After conducting a search of the area, police did not find any suspects.
Because police believe the victim was not randomly targeted, they said there is no elevated risk to public safety.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
