One man was killed in a rollover on Stoney Trail on Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to Stoney Trail and 88 Street S.E. just before 7 a.m.
The Acting Sgt. Cody Reuser with the Calgary Police Service said the driver of a southbound truck lost control and crashed into a concrete pillar in the underpass.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reuser said he was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
Police are investigating if speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
“At this point in time, it does not appear that road conditions played a factor,” Reuser said.
Police confirmed the truck appeared to be a company vehicle, though which business the victim worked for is unknown.
The crash caused the closure of southbound Stoney Trail from 114 Avenue S.E. to 52 Street S.E.
