Watch: Foiled robbery caught on tape

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man gets the upper hand on a would-be robber. As you can see in this security camera video, the victim was walking along a New Orleans street in the early hours of Saturday morning when a man comes out of nowhere wielding a shotgun. The suspect approaches the man, points the shotgun in his face and allegedly demands money. At that point, the brave victim grabs the weapon from the thief and then chases him away.

Moments later, two men drive up in a black sedan allegedly asking for the gun back in exchange for the victim’s cell phone that he had dropped. But instead of giving the gun back, the heroic victim uses the gun to bash in the thief’s rear car window.
