A Cape Breton man is facing a slew of charges ranging from impaired driving to uttering a death threat after allegedly assaulting two people inside a Sydney pizza shop and threatening to steal a vehicle.
Cape Breton Regional Police say the incident happened late on Friday, March 15.
Police responded to a call of a disturbance at Alexandria’s Pizza on Charlotte Street.
It’s alleged the suspect stole a vehicle and then went into the shop, assaulted two people inside and threatened to steal another vehicle. Police intercepted the suspect’s attempt to run away from the restaurant and arrested Aaron Curtis Mickey, 39.

Two female victims were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Mickey is charged with impaired driving, driving while prohibited, refusing a breathalyzer, resisting arrest, two counts of possession of a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of vehicle theft, and uttering a death threat.
He is also charged with 11 counts of breaching his probation.
Mickey is scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court Monday.
