Saskatoon police Taser man during domestic dispute call

A Saskatoon police officer used a Taser during the arrest of a man following a report of a domestic dispute in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.

Police said Sunday they were called to a disturbance over the weekend where a man was reported with a knife in a house in the 200-block of Avenue U South.

Officers who entered the house said a man immediately advanced toward them.

The 24-year-old Saskatoon man was Tasered and then arrested. No injuries were reported.

He is facing charges of possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with his probation.

The Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) deployment will be reviewed in accordance with police policy.
