Guelph business owner charged with sexual offences involving child: police

Guelph police say they have arrested the owner of a local art education business as part of an investigation into sexual offences involving a child.

Pablo Suarez has owned and operated “Pablo’s World of Cartoons” on Cardigan Street for the past 11 years.

The 48-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and luring a child.

Const. Mike Gatto said it’s very early in the investigation and it’s not known if there are any other victims.

“It’s always a possibility, but we hope that isn’t a fact,” he said. “For now, we are dealing with this one incident.”

Suarez has also held several camps, workshops, and cartooning parties throughout the Guelph and Wellington County area, according to his website.
