Two men face charges after Peterborough police seized blue heroin and cocaine as part of a drug investigation on Wednesday.
The Peterborough Police Service says as part of the probe, officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Spruce Avenue and Riverside Drive where they seized blue heroin (fentanyl/heroin mixture), cell phones, cash, cocaine and a large number of gift cards.
Police later executed a search warrant at residences on Lundy’s Lane and Romaine Street where they seized one kilogram of cocaine, three ounces of blue heroin, approximately $50,000 in cash, assorted drug packaging and a digital scale.
Kyle William Gozzard, 27, of Romaine Street, is charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance (fentanyl, heroin and cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Justin Steven Geary, 29, of Woods Road, Omemee, is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine).
Both men were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
