The Arkells are missing a guitar amp, believed to be stolen from a Hamilton garage

The Arkells say they were robbed.

“Attention Hamilton, if you see any dudes rolling a guitar amplifier road case with ‘Arkells’ stenciled on the side, it belongs to Mike D, and please return it to his garage where you found it,” The local band posted on Twitter on Thursday morning.

The Arkells, consisting of Max Kerman, Mike DeAngelis, Anthony Carone, Nick Dika, Tim Oxford, and Dan Griffin, formed in Hamilton in 2006, and have released five albums, two EPs and a number of singles that have charted in Canada.

The band has won multiple Juno Awards, including one for its album High Noon in 2015.

The Arkells released its fifth studio album, Rally Cry, on Oct. 19, 2018

However, there was no word on where or when the theft occurred, or if police have been notified.
