The Saskatchewan Health Authority said the Leader and District Integrated Healthcare Facility is not yet safe to re-open.
A water line broke on Feb. 7 resulting in the removal and replacement of damaged drywall and electrical panels. All repairs have been completed and the building has been thoroughly cleaned.
The health authority said further air quality tests are being done to confirm the facility is safe for staff and residents. Results are now expected in early March.
Officials added primary health care services continue in neighbouring communities and will be evaluated at week’s end.
Ambulance services continue to be available in Leader.
The town of Leader is approximately 265 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
