City of Kawartha Lakes OPP credit numerous tips from the public in helping them identify a suspect in a purse theft investigation.
On Feb. 14, officers attended a restaurant in the village of Fenelon Falls for a complaint about a theft of a purse.
OPP investigated and posted a photo of a suspect on social media on Feb. 15.

“Numerous tips and phone calls were received by the investigating officer,” OPP said Tuesday, adding it led to an arrest.
Peter Murray, 64, of Fenelon Falls, was charged with theft under $5,000.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Lindsay on March 21.
