Guelph police say a Nova Scotia man has been arrested following a shooting outside of a north end motel in August 2017.
Officers were called to a fight on Aug. 31 at around 12:30 a.m. and police said a man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired it towards a vehicle that was fleeing.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The investigation led to the identification of the suspect and a Canada-wide warrant was issued, according to a news release on Monday.
Police said a 20-year-old man from Dartmouth was arrested in Halifax on Feb. 14 and transported back to Guelph to face several firearm and assault charges.
Police said officers are still looking for a second suspect, but have not been able to identify that person.
