What’s open and closed in Barrie on Family Day

Several businesses in Barrie will have altered hours on Monday, Feb. 18, for Family Day. Here’s what you can expect.

What’s open

• Upper Canada Mall will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Vaughan Mills Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Barrie Transit will be operating on a Sunday service schedule
• Go Transit will operate on a Saturday service schedule
• Movie theatres
• Some restaurants and bars

What’s closed

• Georgian Mall
• Most banks
• LCBO locations will be closed
• Beer Stores will be closed
• Municipal and provincial government officers
• The Barrie Public Library will be closed on Sunday, Feb. 17, and Monday, Feb. 18.
• There will be no organics, garbage or recycling collection on Monday, Feb. 18. Waste collection will occur one day later for the remainder of the week.
• There will be no LINX Transit service on Monday, Feb. 18.
