A Kingston man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing someone in the stomach, causing them minor injuries.
Police say the man went to a downtown home to speak to his former roommate on the morning of Feb. 11.
According to police, the man was speaking irrationally at the woman’s front door, which made her retreat back into her home. When her new roommate came out later, police say the man confronted him, brandishing a knife before stabbing him in the stomach.

Several witnesses nearby rushed to help the victim and to subdue the accused.
The victim was transported to Kingston General Hospital with minor injuries and the 57-year-old accused was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
