A knife-wielding Thompson man faces numerous charges after a pair of domestic incidents Sunday and Monday, say RCMP.
Police were initially called to a Thompson home around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, where they were told the suspect had kicked in the door, threatened a female victim and fled the scene.
The next morning, around 2:30 a.m., police were called to the same home, where the man, who had again kicked in the door, was inside with the victim and her children.
Police found the man armed with a knife and holding on to the victim. He then let go and approached the officers with the knife.
RCMP said the man urged the officers to shoot him. They eventually subdued him with a taser.
The man, 29, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, uttering threats, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest, mischief, and theft.
The victim and her children were unhurt in the incident.
