“My reason for L♥ve is my loving husband Stephen Seifried and My Mum Linda Lee.

I had been very sick since 2017 and admitted to St. Paul’s Hospital where they diagnosed me as having severe ulcerative colitis.  The treatment I was given over the next year unfortunately did not work and in August of 2018 underwent major surgery at St. Paul’s.

I don’t know what I would have done without my husband and Mother.  We all live in Mission, B.C and they both were travelling back and forth every day to St. Paul’s Hospital to make sure I wasn’t left alone and scared, not to mention the constant worry they had for my well-being.  I am not quite done with my journey but will no doubt be taken very good care of from my family.  They have kept me grounded when I’m having anxious days and constantly assure me everything will be ok and that is something I need to hear now and then.

The love and support from my family, friends and co-workers have been truly overwhelming but welcoming.”

Lori Seifried

Kimberley Mackenzie writes: “Sometimes we get caught up in the everyday routine and don’t always take the opportunity to tell someone how special they are. This week I wanted to do something special for my husband so every night when he comes through the door I have one of his favorite meals home cooked meals waiting for him on the table. He’s the most amazing, patient, understanding person I know. Lately he’s had a lot on his plate, working insane hours and taking on so much extra responsibility at work. Every night when he walks through the door in the evening he’s exhausted and running on empty, he tries his best not to show it though. I know Valentine’s day is right around the corner but we don’t always have to wait for a special occasion to tell someone how much they mean to us. Tyson you’re a great husband, amazing father and my best friend you truly are my happily ever after. You stand by me through everything, support me with all my crazy ideas and love me for who I am. For as long as I can remember I’ve always made the same wish on the first evening star, I would never tell anyone what my wish was in fear that it would not come true. But today I’ll let you in on a little secret my wish was always “For something special to happen” I feel safe saying this out loud now as you and the kids are the something special that happened!! I guess now I’m going to have to come up with a new wish 😊 I could not imagine this journey through life with anyone other than you.”

My boyfriend Michael is not just my boyfriend. He’s my best friend and sometimes my only friend. He motivates me to be a better person and to stay focused. He’s always spontaneous and he pushes me to do better than I did yesterday. He makes me having feelings people write novels about. I’m proud and so lucky to call him mine.
