The family adds that this isn’t a perfect match, but considering the position they have been in this past year, it’s pretty perfect for them.

There are currently plans to book an appointment for Chorneyko in Minneapolis to move forward with his transplant.

Vonn was one of 30 people in Canada, and the only one in Saskatchewan with fanconi anemia – a rare blood disorder — and out of millions of donors in the world registry none were a perfect match.
