RCMP closed the eastbound lanes of a section of Highway 1 on Thursday after a crash between two semi-trailers.
The collision southwest of Cochrane, Alta., happened at around 2:30 a.m.., causing a large amount of debris to be scattered on the road.
Cochrane RCMP said iin a Thursday morning news release that both drivers suffered minor injuries; EMS said a man in his 50s was taken to the Foothills Medical Centre in non-life-threatening condition.
One lane of the Trans-Canada Highway at Highway 68 (Sibbald Creek Trail) was reopened around 7:30 a.m.

Alberta 511 warned drivers to expect “major delays.”
The crash site is located about 35 kilometres west of Calgary.
Cochrane RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to attend the detachment to provide a witness statement.
