A man has died after city police say he was hit by an arrow.
Emergency services responded to Arbour Glen Crescent, off Kipps Lane in the city’s northeast end, after someone called 911 about the incident just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
“The victim underwent surgery this morning in relation to a life-threatening injury but has since been pronounced deceased at the hospital,” Const. Sandasha Bough told Global News Radio 980 CFPL.
The man was publicly identified on Wednesday morning as 46-year-old Brian Peter Maksoud of London.
Police say no arrests have been made and the public is asked to report any suspicious activity.
“Right now the risk to public safety is unknown because we’re still trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
An autopsy took place on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers are asking anyone who may have seen or had contact with Maksoud between Sunday, Feb. 3 and Tuesday, Feb. 5 to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
