Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of New Brunswick, warning of icy conditions on Tuesday.
The statement covers the northern part of the province, from Campbellton and Restigouche County down to Woodstock and Carleton County.
According to the national forecaster, a low-pressure system is expected to track over central Quebec on Tuesday morning and then across northern New Brunswick by the evening.
Precipitation will begin with a brief period of snow mixed with ice pellets early Tuesday morning.
That precipitation will then change to a prolonged period of freezing drizzle or freezing rain that will last into Tuesday afternoon.
