Between 10 and 30 centimetres of snow is expected across most of central Saskatchewan by Saturday.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning across most central regions, including Saskatoon, with 10 to 20 cm of snow expected as a slow-moving disturbance crosses the province.
The heaviest snow will occur Friday evening into Saturday.
Areas east of Saskatoon, including Humboldt, Kamsack, and Yorkton are under a winter storm warning, with 20 to 30 cm of snow possible.
Easterly winds near 30 km/h will develop early Saturday, producing areas of reduced visibility.
Officials said rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some areas, and visibility could be suddenly reduced by heavy snow.
